Smarter Lunchroom Strategies: Brooklyn Center Community Schools kitchens practice Smarter Lunchroom Strategies during the lunch programs. The practices encourage students to choose more vegetables and fruit options. One strategy that has been successful at Brooklyn Center High School is utilizing the "Share Cart" to provide extra fruit as an afternoon snack for the high school athletes prior to practice or games. The extra food is picked up by the coaches and used to fuel the athletes, rather than becoming trash!
