Voting Information

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, from 7:00am - 8:00pm, all voting will take place at one location: Brooklyn Center Middle/High School, 6500 Humboldt Avenue North, Brooklyn Center.  Enter via door E18 and cast your ballot in the East Gym.

Absentee and Early Voting

Absentee ballots are available starting September 22, 2017 for anyone who would like to vote early.  You no longer need a special reason to vote absentee.

In-person absentee voting takes places at the Brooklyn Center School District office: 6300 Shingle Creek Parkway, Suite #286 (second floor) during these hours:

September 22 - November 6:
  • Monday - Thursday    8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Fridays    8:00am - 12:00pm
 
Extended voting hours available on these days:
  • Tuesday, October 17    8:00am - 7:00pm
  • Thursday, November 2    8:00am - 7:00pm
  • Saturday, November 4    9:00am - 1:00pm

 

Mail-in absentee voting:  You can also have an absentee ballot application mailed to you by contacting 1-877-600-VOTE, or click here to print the application. You can then mail the application back to Hennepin County Elections - 300 South 6th Street Minneapolis, MN 55487.  If you vote absentee by mail, be sure to allow time to send in your application, receive your ballot, and then complete and return your ballot before November 7.

Are you registered to vote?  If not, click this link to be brought to the Minnesota Secretary of the State's website where you can register to vote.  You just need your Driver's License number, ID Card number, or the last four digits of your social security number.
