Community Education promotes lifelong learning opportunities for each individual within the community by striving to maximize the use of all available resources to meet emerging social, educational, recreational and cultural needs. Under the Community Ed umbrella are these programs:

School Age Childcare

  • Bright Start at Earle Brown Elementary provides affordable care before school hours beginning at 6:30am for children (Kindergarten - 6th Grade) of working parents, including school release and school vacation periods. A variety of enriching activities are offered; designed and supervised by caring and trained professionals. Full and part time schedules are available.

After School Programs are available through the YMCA School Success Center.

Community Ed Advisory Council
  • Community volunteers comprise the council that meets regularly throughout the year to facilitate CE programs and events. Their aim is to create a learning environment for people of all ages.
