World's Best Workforce

What is the World's best Workforce?

Raising student achievement from early childhood to college and career

The “Striving for the World’s Best Workforce” bill was passed in 2013. Under this legislation, Brooklyn Center has developed a plan that addresses five focus areas:
1) All children are ready for school.
2) All third-graders can read at grade level.
3) All racial and economic achievement gaps between students are closed.
4) All students are ready for career and college.
5) All students graduate from high school.

See the pdf below for the summary of the Brooklyn Center World's Best Workforce Plan, which was approved by the Brooklyn Center School Board on September 8, 2014.

How is the district Achievement and Integration plan connected to the World's Best Workforce plan?
