Brooklyn Center is now accepting enrollment applications for all grade levels at Earle Brown Elementary, Brooklyn Center Secondary, and Brooklyn Center Academy, including applications for open enrollment.
Brooklyn Center Community Schools is now offering an early childhood program called Friendship Class. This program will offer students with special needs the opportunity to learn from typical peers (a.k.a Friends) and Friends the opportunity to grow in their understanding of diversity and friendships with all peers.
We are looking for "Friends" for for the 2016-2017 school year. If you have a child between the ages of 3 and 5 who would be an excellent peer model, please inquire for more information. The child does NOT need to be a resident of Brooklyn Center to attend this program

Brooklyn Center Secondary (BCS) and Earle Brown Elementary School (EBES) kitchen staffs have continued to work with Hennepin County to implement Smarter Lunchroom Strategies throughout the spring of 2016.
Kelly Educational Staffing (KES), a specialty service of Kelly Services, a leader in providing workforce solutions, has selected Mary Larson as the Minnesota Substitute Teacher of the Year for the 2015/2016 school year. Ms. Larson, a substitute teacher in Brooklyn Center Schools, is being recognized for outstanding performance and service as a KES substitute teacher.
