Brooklyn Center Community Schools is a small suburban school district located on the northwest border of Minneapolis. We pride ourselves in providing excellent academic programs to a diverse student population in pre-k through grade 12.

A full service community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Our integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development and community engagement leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities.

To equip every student with the knowledge, life-skills, and global perspectives to contribute to society and respond to the needs of an ever-changing world. 

Leadership
Superintendent Mark Bonine came to Brooklyn Center in 2013 after 28 years at Minneapolis Public Schools. He served 16 years as a teacher, one year as an assistant principal, eight years as a principal and three years as an associate superintendent in the school district. More>>

VOCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES ANNUAL NOTIFICATION

Brooklyn Center Community Schools offers vocational opportunities through the Business Education and Consumer Science Departments. The purpose of this notice is to inform students, parents, employees and the general public that these opportunities are offered regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or disability.

Brooklyn Center is Now Enrolling for All Grades

Brooklyn Center is now accepting enrollment applications for all grade levels at Earle Brown Elementary, Brooklyn Center Secondary, and Brooklyn Center Academy, including applications for open enrollment.

Friendship Class: A Wonderful New Free Opportunity for Children Ages 3-5

Brooklyn Center Community Schools is now offering an early childhood program called Friendship Class. This program will offer students with special needs the opportunity to learn from typical peers (a.k.a Friends) and Friends the opportunity to grow in their understanding of diversity and friendships with all peers.

We are looking for "Friends" for for the 2016-2017 school year. If you have a child between the ages of 3 and 5 who would be an excellent peer model, please inquire for more information. The child does NOT need to be a resident of Brooklyn Center to attend this program
